Katarina Winands is a research assistant at the Institute of Textile Technology at RWTH Aachen University in the Additive and Joining Technologies Group since October 2021. She received her MSc in Textile Products and her BSc in Clothing Technology at Hochschule Niederrhein.

Jürgen Bender, Dirk Imhof

After his apprenticeship in 1985 as paint laboratory technician at ICI Paints, Jürgen went on to study chemistry in Düsseldorf, where he passed his exam as a chemical engineer. In 1991 he moved to Kronos International, Inc. as Lab Manager for Paper & Fibres then for Coatings & Inks until 2008. Jürgen has built up extensive experience in the Technical Service Centre of coatings and inks and for non-pigmentary products until 2015. He was Sales Manager in charge for new TiO2 based products and then Global Product Manager in Marketing. Today Jürgen works as Global Market Development Manager for Coatings, Inks and Paper.

Dirk Imhof has over 20 years of experience in the industrial ink and coating market. He has worked at Lanxess for a few years as Global Head of Technology for CMYK inkjet formulations. Dirk joined KRONOS TiO2 pigments two years ago and works as their Head of Technical Service Department for inks and coatings. He has a degree in Paint and Coating Engineering.

Juliane Ziegler

JulianeZiegler-GOTS-TPS22Juliane Ziegler, GOTS Representative in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is responsible for the initial consultation of textile brands, manufacturers, and suppliers on GOTS and sustainability. Her background in textile management (Bachelor) and a Master of Science in Strategic Communication allowed her to acquire profound knowledge of the operations in textile companies and the wider industry. Working with the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles in Germany and during her project work with international NGOs she gained valuable experience to help advocate for better working conditions, reduce the environmental impact, and assist the industry to achieve sustainable development goals.

Dr Simon Daplyn

SimonDaplyn-SunChemical-TPS22Simon Daplyn joined Sun Chemical in July 2020 as part of the acquisition of Sensient Imaging Technologies and is responsible for management of product and marketing output. Having studied and worked in digital print for over 20 years, Simon has been responsible for development, commercialisation, sales and marketing of a wide range of digital inks with a particular focus on textile technologies. Currently Simon is responsible for defining the product strategy for Sun Chemical in digital textiles with a view to sustainable technology developments.

Mathias Muth

MathiasMuth-HSNiederrhein-TPS22Mathias Muth is professor for Textile Printing Technologies at Hochschule Niederrhein – University of Applied Sciences based in Mönchengladbach, Germany since 2016. Among other subjects he is teaching textile printing, dyeing, coloration and functionalisation. He leads research projects in the field of sustainable digital printing and functionalisation. After his PhD graduation in 1998 he worked in different positions in development, production and marketing of inks for digital textile printing.
